 2. nothing +형용사 : 뭔가~한 것이 없는 것

something/ anything/ nothing+형용사의 순서.
원래는 형용사가 명사 앞에 있어야 하잖아요?
그런데
명사인 something/ anything/ nothing은 형용사가 뒤에서 수식해요.

관용적으로 이렇게 많이 사용되니 기억해 두시면 편합니다.
something + 형용사(nice/good/bad) : 뭔가 좋은 것, 뭔가 나쁜 것
something wrong 뭔가 잘못된 것
something special 뭔가 특별한 것
something sweet 뭔가 달콤한 것

 

Something nice is going to happen today.

오늘 뭔가 좋은 일이 일어날 거예요.

She bought something nice for her mother’s birthday.

그녀는 어머니의 생일 선물로 뭔가 좋은 것을 샀어요.

There is something good in every day.

매일매일 뭔가 좋은 것이 있어요.

I can sense something bad is going to happen.

뭔가 나쁜 일이 일어날 것 같은 느낌이 들어요.

Something sweet would be nice right now.

지금 달콤한 것이 좋을 것 같아요.

He can eat anything spicy.

그는 매운 것이라면 무엇이든 먹을 수 있어요.

There is nothing more important than family.

가족보다 더 중요한 것은 없어요.

3. 의문사 to부정사

who to 동사원형 : 누구를~할지

where to 동사원형 : 어디 ~할지

why to 동사원형 : 왜 ~할지

You should learn how to cook. 
당신은 요리하는 법을 배워야 한다.

I’m not sure what to wear to the party.
나는 파티에 무엇을 입을지 확실하지 않다.

He is learning how to drive.
그는 운전하는 법을 배우고 있다.

I can’t decide what to buy for her birthday.
나는 그녀의 생일 선물로 무엇을 사야 할지 결정할 수 없다.

They are looking for a place where to park the car.
그들은 차를 주차할 장소를 찾고 있다.

I don’t know what to say to him.

4. be having a hard time +동명사

~하는 데 어려움을 겪다

(동명사: 동사에 ing를 붙여 명사처럼 사용하는 것)

 

We’re having a hard time meeting the deadline.
우리는 마감 시간을 맞추는데 어려움을 겪고 있다.

He’s having a hard time finding a job. 
그는 일자리를 찾는데 어려움을 겪고 있다.

They’re having a hard time adjusting to the new environment.
그들은 새로운 환경에 적응하는데 어려움을 겪고 있다.
