            Now, I might be a little old- fashioned,
            but I always like to buy flowers and show up with them.
Nick     Nobody buys flowers when all you're doing is asking them out.
Sam    Okay, maybe I'm a little more old-fashioned than I thought.
           But there's not much to it, really you just say,
            "Hey, do you want to go somewhere some time and do something?"
            Then just stand there and wait, see if she says, "Sure."
Nick     You just stand there?
Sam     Well, it helps if you got flowers, you can hide behind those.
Nick     So I guess it might be worth picking a few.

사용하지만 일상적인 대화에서는 차이가 크게

 2. Nobody  아무도
여러 사람을 지칭하지만 뒤에 오는 동사의 형태는

3인칭 동사변화를 사용해서 -s로 변화합니다.

아무도 진실을 모른다.

Nobody can predict the future. 
 아무도 미래를 예측할 수 없다.

Nobody is perfect. 
완벽한 사람은 없다.

Nobody wants to be alone. 
아무도 혼자가 되고 싶지 않다.

Nobody can live forever. 
 아무도 영원히 살 수 없다.

Nobody can take away your dreams. 
 아무도 당신의 꿈을 빼앗을 수 없다.

 

3. than I thought 내가 생각했던 것보다

than앞에는 비교급을 써주세요

The test was easier than I thought. 
시험이 내가 생각한 것보다 쉬웠다.

The trip took longer than I thought. 
여행이 내가 생각한 것보다 오래 걸렸다.

The book was more interesting than I thought. 
그 책은 내가 생각한 것보다 더 흥미로웠다.

The weather was colder than I thought.
날씨가 내가 생각한 것보다 추웠다.

The movie was more emotional than I thought. 
영화가 내가 생각한 것보다 더 감동적이었다.
