Missy : We kept hitting garbage cans.

Meemaw : Oh, god.
Meemaw : Now you all like it when your meemaw babysit.
                  Poker, candy, firecrackers.
Sheldon : Yes.
Meemaw : Well, if your mother ever finds out what you did tonight, 

                  that is never gonna happen again.
Sheldon : I can't lie to my mother.
Meemaw :  Sure you can. Believe in yourself!

Good bluff ; 카드게임에서 유래되어 무언가를 감추거나 가장하고 있는 상황에서 

사용될 수 있어요.

이번 에피소드 초반에 할머니가 셸던에게 포카의 블러핑에 대해 알려준 내용이 이었어요.
셸던이 그걸 인용해서 얘기한 거예요. 센스 있는 표현이에요^^

미국 남부쪽에서는 비공식적으로 이렇게 줄여서 말하기도 해요.

Meemaw : 오늘 밤 너희가 한 일을 엄마가 알게 되면 다시는 할머니가 너희 못 봐줘.

Sheldon : I can't lie to my mother.

Sheldon :  엄마한테 거짓말할 순 없어요.

Meemaw :  *Sure you can. *Believe in yourself!

Meemaw : 할 수 있어. 너 자신을 믿어!

Sure you can; I'm sure you can에서 I'm을 생략했습니다.

구어체에서 대화중 '물론 넌 할 수 있어'의 의미로 사용합니다.

B : 그럼 물론이지

 

A :Do you think I can learn to play the guitar?

B : Sure you can.

A : 내가 기타연주를 배울 수 있을 거 같아?

B : 그럼, 넌 할 수 있어.

A : 컴퓨터 좀 써도 될까?
