<패턴 연습>

1. enjoy + 동명사/명사

enjoy라는 동사는 뒤에 명사나 동명사의 형태가 와야 해요.

enjoy가 동사이므로 enjoy 다음에 바로 relax라는 동사가 

또 올 수 없어요.

그래서 relax를 명사 형태인 relaxing으로 만들어 줍니다

이럴 때 relaxing을 동명사라고 부릅니다.^^

 

I enjoy reading books.

나는 책 읽는 것을 즐깁니다.

She enjoys listening to music.

그녀는 음악을 듣는 것을 즐깁니다.

We enjoy cooking together.

우리는 함께 요리하는 것을 즐깁니다.

He enjoys playing soccer on weekends.

그는 주말에 축구를 하는 것을 즐깁니다.

She enjoys spending time with her family.

그녀는 가족과 함께 시간을 보내는 것을 즐깁니다.

They enjoy traveling to new places.

그들은 새로운 장소로 여행하는 것을 즐깁니다.

2. While + 문장/ 동사~ing

while은 '~하면서'의 뜻이에요.
뒤에 문장이 올 때 사용해요.

ex) I enjoy reading books while (I am) having a cup of tea.

나는 커피를 마시면서 책 읽는 걸 즐겨.

while 뒤에 주어 동사(I am)를 생략하고 간단히 동사 ~ing (having)만

사용하기도 해요.

그러니 여기서 <동사~ing>는 동명사는 아니에요.^^

 

She reads a book while listening to music.
(그녀는 음악을 들으면서 책을 읽는다.)
= She reads a book while she is listening to music.

He cooks dinner while singing his favorite songs.
(그는 자신이 좋아하는 노래를 부르면서 저녁을 요리한다.)

I exercise while listening to podcasts.
(나는 팟캐스트를 들으면서 운동한다.)

The children play games while waiting for the bus.
(어린이들은 버스를 기다리면서 게임을 한다.)

She walks her dog while talking on the phone.
(그녀는 전화로 이야기하면서 강아지를 산책시킨다.)

He cleans the house while listening to audiobooks.
(그는 오디오북을 들으면서 집을 청소한다.)

3. lately 최근에(부사)

lately 최근에(부사)

lately는 late(늦은)의 부사형이 아니에요.

뜻이 전혀 달라요.

lately-최근에

late -늦게

 

이렇게 구분해 놓으세요~

late 늦은(형) ---->  late 늦게(부)

                              lately 최근에 (부)

 

 lately는 최근 계속 되어오고 있는 상황을 얘기하는 거라서

주로 현재완료형태랑 많이 쓰이고 있지요?
