How would you read that word?
Boy: f.i.g.h.t, fight.
Teacher: Yeah, it looks like 'igh' in the middle there, right?
And when you see that 'i.g.h' together it says 'i'.
So try it with 'i'.
Boy: f.i.t, fight.
Teacher: Good...
Now, what if I change this first sound like that?

Boy: s.igh.t, sight.
